I don't know. I think it depends on the people involved.
My parents were married for 35 years when my Dad died but their marriage was not a great love story, more a functional marriage. My grandparents were married 65 years when my Grandfather died and they were every bit as much in love as when they met. They stuck together through a lot of crap and made me believe in long lasting love. So I guess I believe it works but then everytime I let my romantic side take over, a couple of friends gets a divorce Do you celebrate Halloween? __________________

Oh tough one...
I love good scifi, the kind that has layers and metaphors and symbols all over with big themes about life. Sadly with the rampant Special FX mania, storylines and symbols are trampled by big effects and spectacle. We know that won't happen to Noir, right? Your favorite childhood movie? __________________
