:lmao: The Goodies? ;)

Voted! (closing my eyes to not see the rest of the nominees 'cuz really...)

Mirani 10-20-2010 09:34 PM

:lmao: Do you think the actors would go on the off chance the show is nominated?

It's a minor award and it's in LA but if the show is nominated, they'd have to send someone! Most likely Julianna if they can spare her. Or maybe Archie or Matt if Julianna's too busy.

I'd love to see Ridley Scott with the cast/crew...

Kalinda Smith 10-22-2010 12:01 PM

I'm surprised by the lack of exposure from him. I thought the network would use him as much as possible for promo but maybe he doesn't want to or he's too busy. I'll be eternally grateful for his role in Archie's casting but he doesn't seem to be involved in the show very much.

I remember a short interview some place where he said he was closely involved with... the music  on the show and that made me  because seriously the music is the worst part of the show, as the DVD menus can attest.

No more spoiler alerts needed: The Screen Actors Guild Awards will air live in all time zones for the first time next year. The 17th annual telecast will air Sunday, Jan. 30, at 8 p.m. ET on TBS and TNT. An encore presentation will immediately follow the conclusion of the two-hour show, allowing West Coast viewers to watch in prime-time as well. Nominations will be announced Thursday, Dec. 16. The SAG Awards follows the Golden Globes and the Primetime Emmys in going live coast to coast. The latter two aired live on the West Coast for the first time this year.

thanks Laila ;) December 16th is nomination time eh? I wonder if Christine and Archie's Emmy nominations will get them at least some consideration this year.

Miss GoodManners 10-25-2010 08:30 AM

Thanks Laila!

Considering both Archie and Christine submitted episodes that were aired after the Golden Globes and the SAG for the Emmys, I think they have a good chance. And they can also submit something from S2, I think, which is great since they both had great scenes so far.

Kalinda Smith 10-25-2010 08:45 AM

Not to take anything away from her but I think Julianna was nominated last year mainly because she was very well known and in a totally different part. This year the nominations will be more about the acting so I think Archie and Christine have better chances than last year.

If anything, I really do hope they get the Best Ensemble. I mean Mad Men whatever but how many do they need really?

That would be great. Considering that (unfortunately) most of the cast would never have a chance for a solo award, this is really the only way to thanks everybody.

Kalinda Smith 10-25-2010 11:04 AM

 Plus they really work well together. My gripes with cast like Mad Men's is that there are many people but it's more or less always the same actors working together. With TGW, you get all sorts of combination and they all have a very different chemistry with each other.

Miss GoodManners 10-25-2010 03:41 PM

I totally agree on the Best Ensemble. Moreover, that's the most prestigious award at the SAG since it's some sort of Best Show award. They really deserve it because what makes the show so great is the way the characters interact with each other, the way the actors play them.

Kiki17 10-25-2010 04:08 PM

I am totally in for Best Ensemble :D it would make me so happy :D

Exactly! That's what makes an "ensemble" and not just a "cast".
