Because she is the good wife

Because she is trying to move on
Because she would do everything for her family

Quotes from Julianna and about Julianna/Alicia Florrick

"Julianna Margulies is the good Wife! She is just stunning in this role"
Robert King

"I loved how complicated she is. We're going to be able to peel her like an onion for years to come.
From that scene where you see her standing there... in my head I kept thinking, "Well, why are you standing there?"
And I feel like these women really don't get their due. They're supposed to have the children, support the husband. These are smart women.
Silda Spitzer right now is heading a hedge fund in New York City. She's never been better.
Elizabeth Edwards just wrote a book. Look at Hilary Clinton. It's not like these are silly little wallflowers that are waiting for their husband to come home.
Most of them have two degrees, at least, and they're incredibly accomplished."
Julianna on what she saw in the role of Alicia Florrick.

"“This is a woman who thought her life was going one way for many, many years and trusted that life and that world that she lived in.
And then everything crumbles. So as an actor, I felt like there are so many places to go [with her].
We’re going to be able to peel her like an onion for years to come.”

Alicia was all kinds of kickass in this episode! :woot: and she should totally let Grace walk to church! Did Jesus have his mother drive him everywhere? no sir. :lmao:
Her views on religion and her passionate arguments about the first amendment made her even more sexy than before, if it was possible

 she did rock.

I liked that she stayed calm in the face of Grace's immature accusations. "Either you love Jesus or you hate him" as if it was about a boys band  were we ever that young?
But in the end, she understood the best way to get this to die once and for all was to encourage her :rotfl:

I don't think so. I'd like to defend her saying it's her age, but I can't. I've done some stupid things of course, but my arguments for my social causes were never as dumb as hers. With Zach and Grace, I sometimes feel like intelligence skipped a generation.

Yup! She nipped that part of the rebellion in the bud. I was smirking in delight at Grace's predicament. Alicia should enroll her for a Bible studies class, let's see how Grace feels about that!

Btw, why do you think Alicia has such a cynical view of religion? I understand it completely, but I wonderig what you'll thought?

I was too much of an independent thinker at that age to have fallen into those traps but what I meant was that a lot of teenagers think like this in those binary modes. Either you "love" their favorite singer or you "hate" them. They see everything in black and white without subtlety.

:lmao: it depends what Shannon thinks about it

I don't think she was raised by religious parents so she wouldn't have been exposed to religion at a young age. Maybe she was curious later and found it lacking. Also I guess being a liberal in the US, with the Christian right making the news way too often with outrageous comments probably didn't help her any.
I had the feeling she was more cynical about Christians than about religion.

Hm... because she's a smart one? ;)

I said several times these kids were lacking rebellion for having gone through what they've been through but seriously, even their rebellious side is pathetic
"I'm a thinking person"?! Really? After she just listens and re-spews everything some kid says online and wears a tee cuz her bff had one?

Totally agree. Also, she's had an inside view on how politics and religion can get mixed up and be used to manipulate people. That would make anyone a cynic.

I came to post about Alicia's views on religion and completely lost my mind after reading about the bitchy donkey.
