I've always thought the only difference between Will and Peter is the cheating. Right now what do we know for certain about Pete's miscunduct? we can speculate that he killed Kennedy but in the same exact way i can think all the worst about Will and the elevator scene with Blake may well raise a lot of doubts about him. We need to use the same yardstick otherwise what's the point? Both are ambitous men who don't like to lose, both have sacrified a lot to the career's altar. Peter took the chance to be also a family man and until recently we are lead to believe he did fairly good. Will decided to remain uncommitted and I don't think for just one minute the reason was Alicia. He is what he is, full stop.

Peter made a big mistake with Amber, we don't know how good Will could be with Alicia but without further information I cannot say anything bad about him.
On the other hand, Alicia knows Peter, he may have changed but also Alicia is not the college student anymore, Who is Will now? nobody knows for sure, what happened in these 15 years? is Alicia willing to jump into a relationship based on how he behaves with her during office's time? she should know better.

So no matter how good Will seem to be or how sorry Peter appear to be, this is Alicia trying to come to terms with the breaching of trust, I really don't know where she is right now. I don't remember the last time we saw her internal struggling about her choices.

ITA! I know lots of people say that Will never married because he was always in love with Alicia. But I find this very hard to believe. We know Will was a player even before he felt in love with Alicia. I mean she even tells him that in Doubt when she tells him "that they would have lasted a week" You can tell he was not the committing type.

She is very confused, and in a way she is not thinking logically. And she is desperate for affection and Will has been there, cause she feels she cannot get it from Peter because she does not trust him.

This is the part I always thought was not credible... although the Kings always mention the passion... it is hard to believe alicia would even ask for a plan ( the outcome of which is to be together..since she still is interested in Will) when she really doesn't know him.

Kiki... the winter time blues are starting to get me, I will count on you to cheer lead, as I don't have a great feeling up what is coming up either ( or may be). The other thing is that after virtually a full season ( and more if you count first half of S1) of Alicia not wanting to be with Peter ( or barely tolerating him)...what if we are going to get more bad stuff thrown Peter's way,eg the campaign, or whatever.?. I can go with the split, but do you think after all this time, they will have more P/A disagreements?....this is not a great payoff after a lot of time watching them skirting each other and not being together. As Laila points out, the cheating/lack of trust is enough to make them split.
Peter has changed so I hope they do not take him back down..but maybe it is intentional, but it is not nec .

Not sure if this is me... but I found the music in the promo 2.08 video very interesting, and note the pratfalls. A lot of pple mentioned that they loved the Owen/Alicia scene bec she was smiling and laughing; I also noted that the pic on the TV guide cover with the triangle was funny, not serious...so do you think they are trying to change tone somehow?

I will try my best to cheer you up hun But I feel your frustration, is hard cause we know Peter wants her but she has not show she was him as much as he wants her. So it is very frustrating, so I hope maybe eventually we can see a sign that Alicia wants Peter as much as he wants her. But I will keep a positive attitude mostly cause I love TGW

Well, I watched the ET vid of josh/julianna. There was one line[B], and it made my day...I can only say this on this board, and this thread. Anyone else I know would think I was crazy!!!
But I have to say, we would all agree, they have done a lousy job of showing alicia's feelings thus far..we could have had a few hints!

And I know that this does not mean things will go smoothly....

Poor Josh, I felt sorry for him trying to talk about something he can't. I bet he would have loved to say something about Will but it was not possible, they ask him always the same questions...

Thats true, it might not be enough. But it still makes me good to hear it cause at least I know there is more there then just convenience And is nice to her JM say it cause she usually says the opposite
