Exactly. We can be elite offensively but the main element is our defense. Our defense is the X-factor. Defense plays like it has all season long and we have a good chance of stopping the Pats.

So Eli Manning got benched. Ben McAdoo is the one who needs benched. He's horrible and needs fired. Eli isn't the problem. Plus, I could see maybe trying a rookie QB in this situation since the season is over and just seeing what you have. But to bench a Super Bowl winning QB for... Geno Smith? Really? Doesn't make any sense.

It was a classless move. He gave the franchise two championships and is this best QB in Giants history. He deserved finishing out the season. It’s one thing to draft a rookie in the off season with this deep QB group coming in. It would be smart for the Giants to go there. I will bet they’ll still go there. But Eli didn’t need benched before then since the other two will not be the long term replacements anyway.

Agreed. We are playing for home field advantage now. Brady has won in Pittsburgh but obviously it’s preferred to play him in Pittsburgh and not have to go to Brady’s backyard.

That's definitely true, but he is the best QB the Giants had it's not exactly great things about their other QBs because despite Eli winning two Super Bowls, he was always an pretty average quarterback who was an step below (at least) Rivers and Big Ben.

I agree. I always believed it was an elitist move when he basically told the San Diego Chargers he didn’t want to play for them so he hand-picked the New York Giants. I still don’t comprehend why he went there because he is anything but arrogant and has not done anything off the field to garner any negative publcity. He’s a really good guy.

That said, Philip Rivers is a much better quarterback than Eli Manning. It’s all about championships, for sure, but when you compare talent it’s not even close. Philip Rivers is a much better quarterback. Of course Big Ben was elite for many years and is only now coming back down to earth and has rings as well.
