MAF won a Stanley Cup with the Pens in 2009... since then he lost his starting spot to Matt Murray. It's amazing how Fleury is now THE man again and Murray is even back from injury but trust me, there's no way in hell we're pulling MAF. He has earned the net the rest of the way!

I guess it's a good thing the Rangers lost, because now we don't have to root against each other. lol

Well it would've been nice knowing that for sure one of our teams would make it to the championship round.

Agree.

I simply could not get behind the Caps no matter what the narrative was on their side. The sheer amount of dirty hits and knee on knees (or missed attempts) from our past and present (this series) has allowed me to be happy watching them skate away and their fans get bummed. Seriously - all the boos over dumb crap and cheers over Pens players going down.... I blurped out 'F them' after that first goal without realizing I'd done it.

Seriously after game 3 shenanigans, nobody should pull for a team like that. Unless you seriously don't care about purity in sports, there's no tolerance for taking out competitors to increase your own odds. It's like a race car driver putting a better driver into the wall, then going on to win the race...just how pure of a win is that? This ain't Vin Diesel ...winning is not winning. If we're to go down that route, let's just fill the league with moronic Sestitos who try and take out as many of the opposition as possible...last man standing gets the cup. Hell that should be great for ratings.

If you don't believe that the missed knee-to-knee on Kunitz, head hunting on Sid and Guentzel was enough - then the clutch and grab playstyle whilst totally relying on your own PP's and offficals should be enough to suede any fan of any other team to never get behind the Caps.

I have no sympathy for them after the cross check to Crosby's head. True, the fans didn't do the cross check, but I can say for a fact that when Matt Cooke did something stupid and dangerous, we, as Pens fans, were the first to chastise him. The Caps fans on the other hand were in celebratory mode.

Not trying to say that people who live in Washington DC are inherently worse than those that live in Pittsburgh or anything - most cities are essentially a bunch of transients these days anyways, but something just didn't sit right with the reaction, and the coach saying it was a "hockey play" nonchalantly.

Basically, the way I see it, they deserve this.
So the DC fans and coach saw nothing wrong with the hit to Crosby, lol.

I've said this before... the DC fans are worse than Philly fans. Philly fans would have understood that hit was BAD. I dated a Redskin fan and the level of arrogance and superiority was disgusting. Wizard fans said verbally violent things to LeBron James. He said he's never heard worse than in DC. Kevin Durant picked Golden State instead of the Wizards, his hometown DC because he said the DC area is stressful and he didn't want to go home and deal with it.

It's all connected.

I'd love to go see DC history but I'd never support their sports teams.

SA defeated Houston in NBA playoffs but they're very injured. I expect Golden State to pounce.

Cleveland still waiting on the result of the Boston/Washington series.

In the NHL, game 1 of the WCF tonight between Nashville/Anaheim.

ECF game 1 between Pittsburgh/Ottawa tomorrow night.

Washington takes it to a game 7 so Cleveland still waits to find out who their opponent is going to be, Boston or Washington.

Nashville takes a 1-0 game lead against Anaheim in the WCF.

Pittsburgh and Ottawa, ECF, game 1 tonight, in Pittsburgh.

What game are you watching and how it goes?

What do you think are the chances of the Penguins against Ottawa?
