Review of Greg's acting in "Leslie My Name Is Evil" from Larry Richman(aka Larry411 at Twitter who met Greg and his mom at the TIFF):

Pictures of Greg Smith, cast & crew of “Leslie, My Name is Evil” at 2009 Toronto Film Festival

Gregory Smith (Everwood) stars in this Canadian feature from writer/director Reginald Harkema. Loosely based on the 1960s Charles Manson murder trial, Leslie, My Name is Evil is a surreal comedy filled with whimsy and camp. That such a horrific event in American history can be the basis for humor may offend some, but there is a long history in cinema of biting satire which, when infused with the right creative spirit, can be entertaining as well as enlightening.

Smith's brilliant performance as the "boyish juror" carries this freaky film, which is destined to be a cult classic for those with a good sense of satirical satanic humor. Fans of the actor's portrayal of Ephram Brown in the long-running television series Everwood (2002-2006) will love his positive innocence and dominating presence in contrast to, arguably, some of the most despicable characters in history.

I also had the wonderful pleasure of meeting Smith and his family after the screening. I'd long heard that he is one of the nicest actors in the business and this proved to be absolutely correct. Fans will also be happy to learn that he'll be appearing in Copper, a new series debuting on ABC television in January.

This is getting quite the discussion in Twitteropolis:

Very nice review. And I'm always happy to hear about him being such a nice person. That seems to be true about everyone from the Everwood cast, eh? Greg was definitely surrounded by good people and great actors.

I'm sure that these pics of Greg in glasses will be quite popular, hee. My, my, we have enough photos to have a lot more than our usual 10 in the Survivor contest!

Yes, he's definitely looking very cool with the glasses/vest combo. Greg has come a long way from mullets.

There are 32 in the photobucket album and over 10 in Larry411's page.
Since the photos on Larry's page are postable here,I'm not going to borrow them for my album.

I think that he looks like Clark Kent. He's going to rip off the vest, the tie and the glasses, and he'll have a huge "S" underneath, and will suddenly have bulging muscles, heh. I mean, have you ever seen Greg and Superman at the same time? *rubs chin*

Thanks for all the pics, Chuck. We'll make good use of them soon.

I don't know. You all know I dig the glasses, but something overall about the look lately just isn't clicking for me. But I'm a minority of one on this, heh, and it is nice to see him out and about so much.

It's got to be the hair, eh?

Heh, I agree with Thief. Not a huge fan of the recent pics.

I think it's the hair that doesn't work for me. Alex has always found Greg hot and I linked her the recent pics and she said, "Oh, make those go away" so she's not a fan either.

Uh oh! We know which pics are going to be voted off the next survivor contest.

I'm not crazy about his hair either, but, I really like his face in these pics.

LOL!

His face always looks good... those eyes and that chin dimple... oh yeeeah. Hee.

I actually liked some of his supposed "bad looks" in season 3 with the long hair, too. I never minded it much whenever people would make comments about his hair... but his hair in these recent pics is too much. The bangs are weird, they are like strings or something. LOL. It's like either go with more bangs or none at all? I don't know. LOL.

Not a minority of one after all, hee.

It is the bangs, I think. Man-bangs are always a risky choice. And, combined with the vests, the whole effect for me is to drastically de-age him, which isn't the best look...

I liked his S3 longer hair, too, Michelle. I honestly think one of my favorite looks was really early S3. The sideburns worked for him, dangit.

You said it way better than I could. Totally agree.

Heh, I am so with you! They did. I loved his look with the longer hair in season 3. It totally fit his character and what Ephram was going through at the time as well. And just from a superficial standpoint, he looked hot! I cringed whenever people would say stuff like, "Ephram, cut your hair." I never agreed. He looked great, and like you said the sideburns worked beautifully. He looked so handsome, indeed.

I just honestly didn't like this look:

LOL! As someone who is about a year away from 40,bangs would not be a good look for me. I think it looks okay on Greg and he sure is lucky to still have a full head of hair. Then again, anything is better than the long unkempt hair I had at age 26,LOL! Maybe he can push the bangs away for a different look?
