A repost of my last post since it's all end of the thread. (Okay I lied, I wrote some more about HIMYM on my journal.)

How I Met Your Mother

Stella?!

Don't get me wrong, I'm probably one of the few that didn't totes hate her. But why is she back?! I do not understand.

Ahem. It was really obvious Cobie was pregnant in this episode, hee. Especially during her hug with Ted.

For some reason, I would have thought Barney would have slept with more women by this point.

ZOMG I loved the return of the Intervention! Still missing Lily tho. Semi-spoiler if you don't know if/when she's coming back:
Spoiler:
I need my Lily Aldrin-Eriksen!

ALSO! I totally had sex with Barney. Twice. Go me?

Castle

However brief it was, I loved seeing Francis Capra on my screen!

HIMYM

The first episode I got to watch live in a while was pretty good. Can't believe that Stella actually was the mother...at least that's what I took from that scene.

Castle

Good stuff. I loved the look on Castle's face when he realized that his partner was a member of his fanclub. Also, he said 5x5. Haha. And the FBI agent was Graham, member of the Initiative on Buffy season 4. More Buffy goodness.

THE CW

The CW has announced that they will cease programming on Sunday nights. They pretty much have already, but they are definitley closed for business now, turning the night over to local affiliates.

I can't say I'm surprised, but I wished they had tried something else that night before they closed up shop. One less night for the chance that the CW might put something new, fresh, fun and cool on. Yeah I know, it's Dawn, "new" and "fresh" isn't something she's familiar with, but one can still hope!.

I am guessing the fall schedule will look something like this :

MONDAY-
Gossip Girl
Gossip Girl spin-off

TUESDAY-
90210
Melrose Place

WEDNESDAY-
America's Next Top Model/Mid Season Show
One Tree Hill

THURSDAY-
Smallville
Supernatural

FRIDAY-
Privileged
The Game

Friday is iffy, but some think Priv will be back, while others are still saying there is no chance. Also, I have looked in my crystal ball and have seen the CW's fall schedule for the 2010-2011 season. This is what it looked like :

MONDAY -
Gossip Girl
Gossip Girl Spin-off

TUESDAY -
Gossip Girl : The Baby Years
Gossip Girl 90210

WEDNESDAY -
America's Next Top Gossip Girl
One Tree Hill : The Middle Age Years

THURSDAY -
Wealthy Kids With Problems
Poor Kids With Problems

FRIDAY -
Gossip Girl Encore
Encore of Gossip Girl Encore

I wouldn't worry about Stella being the mother. I think that it's just a swerve and she will probably lead to something else. I think the mother will be introduced in the series finale, to be honest.

I thought that The CW was getting out of the comedy business. I know I've read that somewhere, and that would leave The Game out in the cold unless they rework it.

The producer of The Game was going to pitch a one hour dramad-y version of the show to the CW, in hopes of being picked up next fall.

The one time the CW actually has some buzzworthy pilots, and they're going to run even less time to fit many of them in. Great. Not that I would watch any of them or anything anyway. I can't believe that the Melrose Place remake or the Gossip Girl spinoff are actually going through. GG does not get good ratings, certainly not enough for a spinoff, and 90210 is even worse. *shakes head*

Ah, who am I kidding: as long as Privileged is renewed, I'll be happy, heh.

Brittany Snow is gonna be on the GG spinoff, so I'll at least give it a chance.

I've always said that about GoGi and it's spin-off. It may get the demos Dawn wants, but it's actual viewership is not good. Why make a spin-off when it's parent show is struggling ratings-wise?. I can't see the spin off doing well. 90210 has really shriveled since it's debut. 2 of it's last 3 eps have been below 2 million. MP was popular, but I don't think it was in the same pop culture league as 90210. And if 90210 isn't pulling them in, will MP with Ashlee Simpson do any better?.

I've also read casting calls for two episodes, and

Better Off Ted

Another funny episode, but I'm afraid that it will most likely be the last episode every, since that was the 'season' finale.

Fringe

I'm so glad I gave this show another chance. Last night's episode was great as usual, and I got the added bonus of one of the characters I hate most burning to death, so score.

Lost

Good set up episode, but I have to say: compared to the build up to last season's finale, this one has been fairly subpar. There was such a clear direction and a lot of great set up from the beginning of the season to the finale last year. This time? I don't even know what's going on, heh. That's not always a bad thing, but I still feel there's too much displacement of the Losties (on different islands, different times, different groups, and now some not even on the island) , and if that goes on into the final season, I won't be a happy camper. I'm really looking forward to the season finale, and it's neat not knowing what to expect, but..I don't know, I didn't know what to expect last time either, but there was still a really great sense of purpose and direction; I feel like this season has been a lot more aimless in comparison. Still love it, though! Except I mourn Faraday deeply.

And Juliet looked great tonight. As always.

April 16th??? But I want it now! Bummer. Did it start this late last year too? Or is it starting so late because of the negotiations with Matthew Weiner, so production got set back a bit?

Just looked it up, and S2 premiered on July 27. Production only started a couple of weeks ago (I think I read that they're on episode 2 or 3 right now), which does seem awfully late; I guess the negotiations were the thing, because I can't imagine any other reason for such a delay, considering the existence of a third season has been pretty much a foregone conclusion since S2.

Music

The Smiths. You want to know from whence roughly 50% of contemporary, songwriter-centric, jangly indie rock's DNA derives? There ya go. I only listened to my first song of theirs earlier in the week (despite knowing how acclaimed and influential they were and all), but it -- "There Is a Light That Never Goes Out" -- was enough to get me to really seek out more. And it is a search, believe me, because iTunes isn't that much of a friend of theirs.
