Betty, do you want to bring over the last few posts from the previous thread? You promptly, since you're awesome, closed the other thread so I can't quote them even if I could paste anyway but yes. LOL.

Thanks for the new thread, Michelle. It's a mystery to me who closed the last one. I just came on.

From the last thread......

After a minute, I realized that she was singing 'Walk Through the Fire' from the Buffy musical episode, Once More With Feeling. I wasn't sure at first, but then I heard her say "Buffy's laughing I just know," and it was confirmed. I was so proud.

Pretty Little Liars

I'll come back with a longer review, but for now I just want to say this: Every time Spencer boldly declares "But he killed my best friend!" I yell at the screen "You were certain that Ian killed her too!"

An episode about the boring Bridget-Kerry fight over her kissing Kyle. It was not interesting, and I also didn't like Paul's "Three's Company" pardoy dream sequence, it was annoying, even though it might have been cool because he was part of that show 30-20 years before 8SR.

I can't get over that! Maybe it was Ephram or Amy reading the thread and having access to opening and closing threads?

LOL, yes, maybe Jerry closed it. I assumed Betty did it because she's the only mod available right now and she came on very soon after I opened the thread. This is a very weird deal.

For those that have heard about the feud between ABC and CBS about ABC's new show The Glass House which CBS feels is a knock off of their original show Big Brother. Anyway there have been law suits and all that which is still on going and CBS released this press release today which I thought was classic.

Quote:
CBS ANNOUNCES DEVELOPMENT OF “DANCING ON THE STARS,”
AN EXCITING AND COMPLETELY ORIGINAL REALITY PROGRAM THAT OWES ITS CONCEPT AND EXECUTION TO NOBODY AT ALL

Los Angeles, June 21, 2012 – Subsequent to recent developments in the creative and legal community, CBS Television today felt it was appropriate to reveal the upcoming launch of an exciting, ground-breaking and completely original new reality program for the CBS Television Network.

The dazzling new show, DANCING ON THE STARS, will be broadcast live from the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, and will feature moderately famous and sort of well-known people you almost recognize competing for big prizes by dancing on the graves of some of Hollywood’s most iconic and well-beloved stars of stage and screen.

The cemetery, the first in Hollywood, was founded in 1899 and now houses the remains of Andrew “Fatty” Arbuckle, producer Cecil B. DeMille, Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., Paul Muni, Benjamin “Bugsy” Siegel, George Harrison of the Beatles and Dee Dee Ramone of the Ramones, among many other great stars of stage, screen and the music business. The company noted that permission to broadcast from the location is pending, and that if efforts in that regard are unsuccessful, approaches will be made to Westwood Village Memorial Park, where equally scintillating luminaries are interred.

“This very creative enterprise will bring a new sense of energy and fun that’s totally unlike anything anywhere else, honest,” said a CBS spokesperson, who also revealed that the Company has been working with a secret team for several months on the creation of the series, which was completely developed by the people at CBS independent of any other programming on the air. “Given the current creative and legal environment in the reality programming business, we’re sure nobody will have any problem with this title or our upcoming half-hour comedy for primetime, POSTMODERN FAMILY.”

“After all,” the spokesperson added, “people who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.”

8 Simple Rules: Season 1, Episode 17 (ReRun)

Uh, Bridget decided to learn the drums and Paul bought her a teacher: Nick Carter. He can't act, he's got an annoying voice. At least Bridget's Kaley Cuoco was cute when she was being all happy and in love with him. Subplot was about Kerry's boyfriend Jason liking Cate a bit more - stupid stuff.

The Wire: Season 5, Episode 1

Watched it yesterday but have to go to wikipedia (the usual deal with the Wire) to read through the episode to get what I missed. That's the Wire and it's still a great show! What I can say so far: City budget is in troubles, new mayor carcetti had to give the money to the schools, so he couldn't give the police department more money, so they don't have any money, so they don't get paid overtime and repair works for cars and that of course affects their motivation. The sad thing is, that this move stops the major crime unit from investigating against Marlo and his people, in fact Daniels had to move the whole cops to seperat units and Jimmy was really angry about that. What else? Now we get the newspaper, that's a new part of the final season, am very excited about that. I hope they finish the series in a good way, because we only got 9 episodes left and it feels like there are tons of things that need to be done.

The Wonder Years: Season 5, Episode 9

Somehow a bit strange episode about the annual christmas party at the Arnold's. Was not bad but not so interesting.

Dallas (2012): Season 1, Episode 3

It was at least better than the 2 previous episodes. There were some interesting scenes, J.R. was fun, Christopher now knows about the cancer, lovely Julie Gonzalo had a couple of scenes and looked amazing, the focus was not only on John Ross vs. Bobby about the Southfork land, it was more diversified. Still a soap but with more character development, I see potencial.

Back on the CB train? What is happening between them that you like? What do you think of DB and NJ?

Shelby, that feud is ridiculous. So much fun watching power hungry money making machines bicker.
