That's true. He would have to think it was great stuff because in his mind, he could do no wrong. Lost your lead female and male actors and main pairing? No problem! I'll just replace them.

He definitely did. I honestly think the lines were blurred with him... he couldn’t separate reality from fantasy (which is why he was a monster, he believed nothing was wrong in his weird world) and his ego was always front and center.
