I so agree. I remember reading his interviews back in the day. He never cared for Jeyton that much. You could tell he viewed Jeyton as a short-term relationship only. He seemed to be focused on Peyton's growth basically. Not about Jeyton as long-term in the least. The same way he discussed Brucas. Not sure how any fans of Brucas thought their pairing had a shot based on his words. He never, not even for a second, gave Brucas fans any hope.

She really didn't. She was too busy playing mom and wrapped up in the Jenny drama. When she truly needed help it should've been Lucas helping her.

Actually, before talking to you I was more neutral about Jeyton. I didn't realize how much wasted space they were, even if I always, always hated when Lucas called Jake like he was meant to be her savior. Always despised this but more neutral as a rule just because at least Peyton was able to get away from ridiculous Brucas. But now, I just dislike Jeyton.

I almost wish Peyton would've been single, working on herself during this time period.

You’re right, even Peyton and Nathan. I mean, he emotionally abused her the first time around so it would’ve needed to be different. Then again, I’m not sure Haley would have forgiven either of them. Maybe a friends with benefits sort of thing while Haley and Nathan were not married and broken up.
