Candace, I'm SO glad you like the title! I kinda wanted the title to be something to do with his ass, cause we all gushed about it last week. But then I thought "Cause we believe in him." went well with how we're all feeling about him now.

Oh, I like the pic compilation. I almost fell over when I saw them the first time too.
I would have brought them over sooner if I wasn't worried that the thread would implode/melt/combust as a result.
That picture of him lying down makes me want to...have a picnic with him...yeah, I'm trying not to be dirty over here. He has a bad boy smirk going on in that second pic too...that's the Bright that will be accompanying me at the Jailbait campfire next week. I'm going to have a tent and everything...OK, I'm going to stop now before y'all think I'm crazy.

Great title. To repeat what I said in the last thread, What I don’t like is the way that everyone is making Bright feel like a loser because he isn’t in college. Not everyone goes to college, and there’s nothing wrong with that, but everyone around Bright, including Ephram, seems to be looking down on him for it, and I think that’s so wrong.

Good to have you here, Jerry. College definitely isn't for everyone, and it's not completely impossible to do well without getting a degree. I remember my senior advisor drawing up a little chart with the college path vs. the straight-to-work path...Straight to work (as a sanitation worker) path involved A LOT of money after four years, while college involved being in debt after that time...Mind you this guy was encouraging us to go to college...Sometimes I wonder what I'm doing here.

Bright shouldn't feel like he needs to measure up to Ephram, but darn it if I didn't know exactly how he feels. It's not even just about school. As apparent from his rant last night, he's feeling insecure about a lot: no dream girl, no idea what he wants to do in life, parents aren't about to cough up a ton of money to help him with anything...just in comparison to Ephram, he feels small. Now after thinking about it, I feel that it probably is time for him and Ephram to take a break. Bright needs to work on believing in himself, because up until now I think he was depending on the assurance of his family and friends to keep him going. However, that's not even enough and is somewhat a burden because he probably feels like a disappointment to them right now.
I feel particularly connected to this storyline and I'm looking forward to seeing where the writers take it.

Tiff, I think any change involving more pictures of Chris can't be bad. Good job bringin' in the pretty.

I completely agree that college is not for everyone. I have a friend from high school that is brilliant but didn't go to college because it just wasn't the right thing for him. He doesn't do well in structured learning environments like that, he is much better learning things on his own. And it is definitely possible to make a living and do well on your own without a college degree, as long as you work hard and stay motivated. That's all Bright needs to do. Hmm, I think some of us can think of ways to keep him motivated........Oh, sorry, lost my concentration for a second there. Goodness, you girls with the dirty thoughts are rubbing off on me!
