That is so sad, Gaby. The beach that we visited in the Gulf during one of my favorite vacations ever got completely wiped out during Hurricane Katrina, and I remember how devastated that news made me feel. Hubby and Nathan took pictures of the emptiness when they went down to Houston a couple of years ago, I just sat and flipped through them and cried.

Hi Taryn! Hi Thief! Good to see you!

Well, thank goodness for that! Fairies are girls. I'm not a girl. My profile says so. *proud*
Oh, right! But! Your profile could be lying.. it seems somewhat suspicios to me...
*stares at profile with a mean, concentrated look* Yeah, I'm watching you!

Besides... not all fairies can be girls! How do they make babies?!

That's impressive that you can remember your dreams like that. To even remember a pocket sized ghost or fairy or details like that. I can't remember any of my dreams beyond a few minutes after I wake up, no matter how hard I try. How do you do it?
Well, uh, it was a dream like you have them when you have a fever... pretty real and extremely odd, which made it hard to forget. How could I forget a dream with a tiny ghost you.
I forget most dreams, too, though. I forget them so completely that I usually don't even know I dreamt of anything when I wake up.

Quote:
Hee, it rhymes better with "ghos" but I used my poetic license.
Oh, you have a poetic license! Cool!
.. so you pronounce "'Tos" more like "toes" and not like "toss"? I never even thought about that..

What have you been up to, Leo? You've got yourself a welcoming committee who wants to know!
Where?
I, uh... there have been some birthday parties (not mine, not going to lose a single word about my own birthday. )... and doctors' appointments.
Then I got a little more to do with my tiny job at the school, I got a student, 14 or 15 years old, I believe, who needs very much help with her homework, which isn't that funny... but she's a sweetheart.
Did I ever tell you about the little rabbit that's been coming to our garden since last summer when it was still very young? Because that's another thing I was doing, watching the rabbit! Rabbit is so cute! When it's freezing and snowing, we always put out some food for the birds, and I cut up apples so they get some vitamins, and since the rabbit found out, it came to look what we got lying out there every day, munching and lying around cozily, and doing all kinds of odd things which is so cute and funny! Also watched the little birdies, though. Birdies are also funny. There was a little mouse once, too.
... I like animals.

Gaby.

So, I was at the bookstore today (getting Bram Stoker's Dracula) and while checking out the classics section, something caught my eye:

That's right, Wuthering Heights is being promoted as Bella and Edward's favourite book. *shudders* Probably nothing new, but, I was pretty horrified.

Okay: 'Tis catchy, eh?

It's one of them toe-tapping songs that The Beach Boys are so well known for.

Oh, that'll scare it off! Of course, for such a suspicious profile, you're the one that dressed it up in so non-suspicious colours! I think you and it are in cahoots.

Baby fairies or babies in general? If it's baby fairies, according to Peter Pan, "When a new baby laughs for the first time a new fairy is born, and as there are always new babies there are always new fairies."

Now you, I believe you would be a fairy in a dream. No doubt about that at all.

Good point about not being able to forget a tiny ghost me. That is pretty darn odd, to say the least. Which is why it's so awesome.

Aw, me too when it comes to dreams. Lately I've been having dreams where I've kind of woken up in the middle of them and then gotten back to sleep and I'm in the same one and it's picked up right where I left off. That's kind of trippy. If I ever did wake up at all, maybe that was part of the dream too. Maybe THIS is part of the dream!

Kind of in between the two, hee. It's said like "toast", but without the T at the end. Hard to explain. We don't have to to worry about the pronunciation of your name, luckily, since we heard Andy say it so very well. Go Andy.

You didn't get anyone what Delia got Arnie, did you? Because that would be plain awkward.

You did not tell me! That's so adorable. What colour is the rabbit? They're so fluffy and cute and small.

Any idea what kind of birdies you have around you?

I never would have guessed.

We've got a black cat sitting on our porch today. It's so gorgeous, bright green eyes and all that black. He hasn't shown up in a long while and we have no idea where he comes from or where he goes when he's not around. If it came around more, I'd totally try and bring him inside, but alas...

Jeez-o-pete! I fear for humanity.

Hey, 'Tos, have you been caught up in any of the Olympic anniversary doings going on up there?

Heh, that definitely deserves the unanimous disgust.

Unfortunately not, no. Well, that's not entirely true. I've been reading about it in the paper and on TV and on TSN.com. So, I've been following the memories, but no actual participation. Passive catching up, I guess.

My friends were talking about going to see the gold medals since we never got to actually touch them during the Olympics because the lineup was insanity, but I'm not sure that will ever happen. We barely were able to synchronize all our schedules to watch a hockey game with a month and a half advance notice, anything spur of the moment isn't happening right now, hee.

Uh, that was unnecessarily long...but, have you been following any of it from afar? Well, probably, hee, but if so, anything of note?

Aw, too bad. Crazy schedules! Life gets harder in that regard with age and responsibility, heh.

Eh, some. I've read a number of the articles about the specific goings-on and the general reminiscing, and watched one particular (ungeoblocked) segment of the CTV Olympic Anniversary "where are they now" special, but that's about it. Nothing especially noteworthy, but it's just as well, because some sports things be crazy now as it is. (I so owe you a PM with a nice lengthy section on that, heh.)

So very true. Stupid jobs, heh.

Nice, nice. We're about the same then. Hey, speaking of "where are they now" (originally typed as "where art they now"), what's Joannie Rochette up to? Yes, yes, I could look it up, but I'm about to log (back) off and head to sleep...so you do it. Heh, no, just curious, though, since she had the hugest emotional reaction and all.

Honestly, I'm a little surprised about how little there is going on beyond general media. I take the Canada Line 4 days a week, I get off at the Olympic Village...there's nothing. Or, I'm blind.

Looking forward to it. I've read a few things. They were the top story on TSN.com last week or this week, to the extent that it bumped some major hockey trades to more minor parts of the site, which must have bewildered a few hockey fans, hee. "What is this 'ice dancing'?!?"

She took the year off from competition and is skating in shows; she'll probably be officially retiring from competition in a few months, but for the moment it's a "temporary" thing. She'd competed for a long time prior even to last year, so I can see being ready to move on (even if still skating). She's also been involved in quite a few charitable endeavors pertaining to heart disease, which makes sense.

There were a couple of one-day events, so maybe those sort of took the place of any more low-key but longer-term "celebrate the entire two weeks" commemorations? Though the latter would be more fun.

Hahaha. "What are these people? They don't look like hockey players!!! What are the Canucks supposed to do with this girl?!"

The more interesting parts of the story are, of course, what you wouldn't get on TSN.com, heh.

Forgot to mention this... with your sister so talented and Alex creating her vids I am loving the creative art all around me. LOL. Alex just finished a vid for her professional con that simply blows me away. I was in tears watching the final product just now but then again I was in tears viewing her drafts and edits. It's so damn good and quite possibly her best work to date. It's not the Chuck vid she's doing for the Chicago con this summer. It's a vid about babies entering dreamland while they sleep and the spiritual/mystical realm is showcased so brilliantly. This vid is for the UK Con in April. It's... I don't even have the words for how brilliant it is. I will make her post these on the blog in the future. I'm so proud of her.

Merci beaucoup. Strong person, Joannie. Can't believe she even still skated after what happened to her mom, but that she did and owned it...amazing.

Ah, as always. They should hire one of you gals for the real scoop.

Can't see Liberty singing, Shelby. Not visible due to privacy.
