Also yo Mitch I'm around!

I am happy to report she passed with flying colors (although she won't say as much) and yes lacked sleep last night. LOL.
 I wish, no this final I will be more than happy just to pass it was 105 questions long and the questions were worded soooo terribly it left me wondering if they actually taught English in Alaska where my prof grew up. I studied my butt off and knew the material but the horrible grammer and structure of his sentences was way to distracting at 730 in the morning, especially on little sleep. :irked:

I think she had/has 6 finals approximately... two already done, two tomorrow and one or two more I think early next week.
Yes exactly :) I had one in Self Defense this past Monday(It was cake), then Polisci this morning, Exercise Physiology and Sport Psych tomorrow, and finally Biomechanics and Art appreciation on Tuesday. Then Im free!

But she can answer this specifically although it never stops me from speaking for people. Lol.
But why should I when you know my whole schedule long lost big sis of mine. ;)

Congrats, Shelby!

TFTNT, Betty!

LOL, you're full it! I don't believe you will squeak by with a passing grade. Nope. You must report right on this thread what your final grade was and then I can be proven right that you did not just get by!

LOL, she's not kidding either which makes it that much more awesome.

Lmao, what you'll probably do is take 2 years for the OC to be completed since it delays Lost. Hmm, I need to shut up since I might have just given you this idea.

Ha I doubt I'll want to share it with yall seriously I have crazy hard classes and this "required core class" was the final I was dreading the most because I HATE the subject and the tests are more about trying to learn your professors beliefs than actually learning the material its irritating and pointless. I'd rather take a Physics or Calculus final any day of the week.

Haha nah Im already on S3 of THe OC so Im almost finished there but getting through LOST will probably take a long while.

You're welcome, Everyone! :)

You're so right about how sometimes you have to learn what your professor wants you to get out of it and that is quite unfortunate. I try really hard not to put my personal feelings into a subject I teach for that very reason. I don't want to sit and sound like a computer, regurgitating material in a very boring, systematic way so I try to spice it up but I hope it's fair and balanced. Too many times it's not like you were saying.

LOL! Maybe Sarah Walker is your long lost sister which would also make her mine too? Hey, we need to check that out and if that's the case we can go on missions and stuff together.

Hey man the key here is you saying Lost is a show you will get through no matter how long it takes. We Capricorns like the slow but steady anyway... doesn't matter how fast to the finish line, as long as you get there. So yay, Lost it is! :D

Yeah it sucks its only the history teachers that seem to be like this. THey use thier platforms to spread their views instead of teach the curriculum. Grr.

Whoa Woa okay Im just not sure we me and my sis Sarah can handle your incessant chatter. We like a clear head and we already have Chuck to deal with....but hey Morgan could use a babysitter so yeah sure this could work! ;)

 I never said I would make it through :) I said I would try and I have before and didnt finish. But I have you to walk me through this time so I have faith it will work.

Let us know how you both do on your finals when you get the (hopefully positive) results, Shelby and Gaby! And Rolfi too!

Two weeks until Christmas. :yay:

cowgirl08 12-12-2010 01:47 AM

Ive taken 4 and have two more left but not until Tuesday so I have a good little break. Polisci was the most challenging so far but I passed so yay! The ones I took today I felt really good about so hopefully the grades reflect that. :) Hope your doing well with yours Gaby!

Australia Trip
Hey guys so I shared this with Mitch and she seemed to enjoy it so I figured I'd post it in here for everyone else. As most know I spent this past summer(australia's winter) on a volunteer trip teaching refugee children from war torn countries all over the world. This is a link of the blog I wrote while I was there, I had to raise money in order to make it over there and many of the people who donated wanted me to blog so I did. I had never done it before but its neat to look back on now so Im glad I did. There are stories of my time at the school plus stories of different trips I took and friends I made. There are also some pictures and some videos that capture my time there much better than I can just explaining it so enjoy! :D

P.S. To start from the beginning scroll down to the bottom of the page and there is a button that says next page. That will take you to the beginning posts, then once you read those you can just go back and work your way up :) it will make them much easier to understand. Really I'm sure most of yall can figure all that out on your own considering they are dated and all  but I have to help out my technologically challenged friend in Mitch. ;)

That sounds like a beautiful experience, Shelby. How wonderful for you. :)

I'd love to see those pictures....and "Puppy Chow"....that sounds tasty. Feel free to tell us what's in that as well.

Taryn74 12-12-2010 03:37 PM

What a NEAT experience Shelby! I loved reading your blog.

Sounds amazing, Shelby! Thanks for sharing it for all of us. :) I loved the pic of the penguins. SO cute! :smirk:

BepperGirl 12-12-2010 04:07 PM

Puppy chow is awesome! I haven't had that in ages, but I used to have it a lot when I was a kid. It was a frequent snack at my old after school program. As far as I know, Betty, it's Chex coated with powdered sugar and there's some chocolate, too, so the sugar can stick to the Chex. Actually, here's a recipe.

cowgirl08 12-12-2010 04:12 PM

Your welcome guys :) Glad yall enjoyed it. Yes Puppy Chow is made with CHEX cereal. You make a mixture of chocolate, butter, peanut butter, and a speck of vanilla. Then melt it all together and pour it over the CHEX. Then you sprinkle powerdered sugar over all of it and you have a tasty treat. :D Its terrible for you  but eh.

BepperGirl 12-12-2010 04:19 PM

I know, the best things are not good for you, right, Shelbs? ;)

cowgirl08 12-12-2010 04:21 PM

Exactly! If it taste good its bad for you and if it taste bad it must be good for you, its an unwritten rule.

everwoodfan52 12-12-2010 07:32 PM

I've had that Puppy Chow...I just didn't know what it is called. Thanks..It is yummy. :P

I wasn't kidding about the blizzard this weekend. LOL.

PS: The Vikings are probably secretly jumping for joy since they want an outdoor stadium like the Met Center in the good old days where they originally played. The dome has collapsed in the past but nothing like this.

I heard that last night. That is unbelievable. I hear the snow is now moving to Michigan, Illinois, and Ohio. Is that the beginning of the end for you?

Yes, it's much better now. See the difference between here and my homestate Ohio, along with Illinois and Michigan, is that while it can get cold there it's nothing close to Minnesota so they will get hit with the storm but the temperatures staying wamer will make it less severe. Put it this way... the snow in height around the Twin Cities is about half the size of an average house. That's how tall it is. LOL. It will remain this way too since the temperatures are so cold.

But yes, even yesterday it was much better as far as visibility and conditions. The blizzard-like situation was done about 6 AM Sunday morning. Then it was plowing and cleaning up. By around noon Sunday things were okay again. Today we are just dealing with freezing temps and patches of bad roads while driving.

I heard on the news a man died of a heart attack because he couldn't leave his home Saturday. That's the part that sucks. :(
