Well Spain is a soccer country. Their NT wasn't something extra ordinary till 2008, but their clubs have always been good. Barcelona and Real Madrid are one of the best teams in the world. And Spain NT consists mostly of players from those teams. This World Cup was the first in their history, so people were really happy and that's quite normal.
