Nothing yet. I think we won't hear anything until shortly before ABC's Upfront presentation on May 18.

Finals are out:

Well if NBC can bring back Heroes for a 5th season with much worse ratings, ABC can bring back FF.

Not that there is any logic or anything. Just saying...

I think that this is a good news:
Quote:

“FlashForward” Jumps by Double-Digit Percentages Week to Week, Drawing Biggest Overall Audience in 4 Weeks

“FlashForward” (8:00-9:00 p.m.)

Growing by double-digit percentages week to week among Total Viewers (+12% – 5.6 million vs. 5.0 million) and Adults 18-49 (+14% – 1.6/5 vs. 1.4/5), ABC’s “FlashForward” drew its biggest overall audience in 4 weeks – since 3/25/10.

:yay:

How is V doing btw? I figure that is the competition.

FF is getting so good. Maybe people are coming back!

Umgirl 04-24-2010 08:45 PM

Nice.

Renewal is based on the 18-49 age group numbers. A little comparison between both shows since they returned in March 2010:

Flash Forward: 1.9, 1.8, 1.5, 1.6, 1.4, 1.6 = 0.60

V: 2.8, 2.4, 2.2, 2.2 = 0.89

At this point, both shows would fall below the 90% mark that is needed for renewal on ABC and headed straight for cancellation. Maybe ABC is going to give 1 of the 2 shows a pity pick up like they did Eli Stone a couple of years ago but if they do, it would have to go to V.

I can see why NBC would bring back Heroes for another 13 episode season. They have endless slots to fill in their schedule because of the huge flop that was Jay Leno in primetime and Heroes currently stands at 77 episodes. The number that is needed for syndication is around 85 episodes. They would get there with another 13 episode order. I admit I am not completely up to speed with Heroes' ratings, but if I remember correctly it's an extremely young skewing show and NBC is so deeply in the toilet that they renew everything that gets a demo rating of 2,0.

I hope the show gets renewed!

jean-grey 04-29-2010 11:37 AM

I honestly don't think another season, even if it's only 13 episodes, will do any good. But hey, it's just me. :embarrassment:

Umgirl 04-29-2010 01:47 PM

Agreed jean-grey.
