Mía Maestro (born June 19, 1978) is an Argentine actress and singer-songwriter. She won an ACE Award for her performance in the stage production of Pandora's Box. Mia is best known for her role as Nadia Santos in the television drama Alias, as Christina Kahlo in Frida, and as Carmen in The Twilight Saga. She currently stars as the lead female character in the FX series The Strain.

• Moved to Berlin at age 18 for her classical vocal training
• While in Berlin, she also studied the Brechtian acting technique in addition to her dance, vocal and music classes.
• She got the part of Nadia Santos on Alias(2001) after meeting series producer J.J. Abrams for Lost (2004)
• Has starred in 4 movies with her good friend, actress Salma Hayek: Frida (2002), In the Time of the Butterflies (2001), Hotel (2001) and Timecode (2000).
• Studied acting with Carlos Gandolfo.
• Was considered to play Elektra in Daredevil (2003).

Saying goodbye to this year that brought me so much magic and creativity. Such incredible journeys throughout the globe with the dearest of friends, scuba-camping-hiking, witnessing the beauty of this planet while striving to protect it, a beautiful film that brought me to perform in Puglia, Italy with the loveliest crew and cast, sharing Tea and meditation with my community and new folks in many different countries... The list is vast as is my gratitude for this past year and the beyond life changing decade behind us. Grateful for you 2019 ✨
