Not a bad idea. By the title at first, I thought you were talking about the actual Alias Magazine...

Here's one from Entertainment Weekly...

''Alias''' Jennifer Garner is proud of her curves -- more precisely, her virtual curves. ''Digital Sydney [Bristow] is bigger, better, curvier, tougher, and meaner than I am,'' boasts the actress, who reprises her role as CIA agent Bristow in the upcoming videogame based on the TV show. But while Garner admires her character's buff physique, she's a self-professed klutz when it comes to controlling her doppelganger. ''I kept running myself into walls and was so out of control that my virtual self looked wasted,'' she sheepishly admits. Players control the superspy's actions in a ritzy casino and other locales dreamed up by the show's writers, who penned an original script for the game. Which leads to our one request: How about including an interactive version of that famous lingerie scene from last year's Super Bowl episode?

Alias News #1.5

I recently read an article that Desperate Housewives is a breakout hit for ABC. Apparently it broke some record for ABC and that has me worried since it has taken Alias' time slot. Does this concern anybody else and where does Alias sit in the ratings usually anyway - I know they are not that good but ABC considers it a cult hit.

January's a while away, and Desperate Housewives looks weird, I don't necessarily think they'd take Alias off the schedule for it. If it's doing good, they'd probably move DH to another timeslot and keep Alias in the Sunday timeslot.

Desperate Times for Alias?
The inside scoop on ABC's big dilemma

As sexy as she is, Jennifer Garner is no Desperate Housewife.

ABC's new drama Desperate Housewives is the kind of big, fat, juicy hit many thought was no longer possible to launch. Last week, it ranked No. 2 for the week in the advertiser-favored demographic of viewers 18 to 49, just behind CSI. The ratings drop-off from its monstrous premiere was minimal. Roughly 21 million viewers tuned in for the second consecutive week.

Desperate Housewives is already heading for cultural-icon status: It ranks as the most-searched TV show on Yahoo's Buzz Index; the cast will be on Friday's Oprah; and ABC's Good Morning America wasted no time sending a vapid correspondent to visit housewives who lived on a real street called Wisteria Lane in Fillintheblank, Pa. (Would you believe their lives are nothing like the TV show?)

What's more, Housewives was even No. 3 for the week among men 18 to 49 — a demo no one at ABC thought would watch — and a repeat of the premiere was the highest-rated show on Saturday night.

Which brings us to the Alias question. When ABC unveiled its schedule in May, Desperate Housewives was supposed to run through December, with Alias reclaiming its Sunday 9 pm time slot in January. The thinking was that since both shows have continuing story lines, both shows would struggle to draw an audience with a repeat. That's been the case throughout network TV in recent years.

But Housewives is the type of hit drama that ABC hasn't seen since the first season of NYPD Blue in 1993. There is no way it will come off the schedule in January. A Housewives repeat is likely to do as well in the ratings as an original Alias episode on Sunday. Last season, Alias originals averaged a 3.7 rating in viewers 18-49. A Housewives repeat could top that by getting 40 percent of the 8.6 rating it pulled in on Sunday.

Insiders at ABC say the network is already reconsidering the Sunday-night plan.

It's safe to say that Alias has been being moved around ABC's magnetic scheduling board ever since Sunday's Housewives' number came in. Despite the network's new-show success this season, there is no shortage of options.

One possible fit for Alias is Wednesday at 9, the hour after ABC's other new hit, Lost. The network could package it as the J.J. Abrams Wednesday Showcase. The fading Bachelor can move to Monday after football season ends.

In other words, Jennifer Garner fans, hold off on setting your TiVos.

i think DH is quirky enough to sustain high ratings...

probably the best thing that could happen to Alias, is to air after Lost..

ABC could promote the **** out of it, and fans of Lost who have never seen Alias, would prob stick around to see another show that JJ has done...

I'm not worried about Alias. Desperate Housewives isn't that good. I mean, I've caught one episode. It's kinda funny, but certainly no substitution for Alias.

I guess I wouldn't be offended if Alias changed time slots, though. Right after Lost is fine with me.

Um yep we should worry, the talk is now that Desperate Housewives will keep the Sunday slot running reruns, and Alias will have to find a new home, possibly following Lost on Wednsdays....

I think at this point, that is probably the best solution, ABC would be stupid to move DH, given the ratings, Lost is pulling in the ratings, it would be an awesome lead in...

that said, ABC would need to really promote the move in timeslot, to make sure people follow the show to Wednesdays, but i would guess that a lot of Lost viewers are also Alias viewers, i know i started watching Lost because it was a JJ abrams baby, so if they advertise eaps during Dh & Lost about the time change, it could work

Yeah I read recently that DH has gotten a full season order so it's not going anywhere. I was afraid this might happen and Alias would be affected somehow.
I don't get what's so great about that show either. My mom watches it and loves it. So maybe I'll get what's so great about it someday when I'm married.

DH is a good show..Although my Sunday nights may be dimmer if Alias gets moved. Although it would be good to put it after Lost..show tons of promos.
