^ I remember reading the script and lines with DJ together..Either way it will always end with DJ their story is more believable than PJ. Pacey always plays up in the end..DJ are far more special!

Been watching Season 1 again. Wow, it just works SO well for D/Jo.

I love the scene where Joey's father tells her that Dawson loves her.

^ Season one was truly a fantastic season for them. Every episode things built up and up for them until Dawson finally realized he was in love with her too. "She's more than that...she's everything."

I finally restarted my rewatch with 4x01 last night. There was some good stuff in there for DJo. References to Joey being "off the boat" the closer they got to Capeside and her picking up the brick for Dawson--her putting so much thought into that gift and what it meant. Her wanting to make things right with Dawson. Them dancing around each other at the dive-in and then that conversation about the brick...Dawson saying it'd take more for things to be right between them again. I like that it wasn't so easy for them or for her after the end of s3, it just wouldn't have felt realistic for them or their relationship.

Despite Joey's convenient explanation to Pacey on the boat at the end of 4x01, I still think her behavior in that episode proved that Dawson was still her priority.

^ Yes, exactly. Sure their lifelong friendship had something to do with it, but she was willing to risk that as soon as she left in True Love. So why was it so important to her to get that back once she got back to Capeside? It makes me think that she wasn't totally over him romantically, which we saw more and more as the series progressed.

agreed, and I think the Four Stories episode proved it even more by how Joey lit up with happiness as she spent time with Dawson (and refrained from telling him about losing her virginity - if they were just friends, I don't think she would have struggled to talk to him about her personal life).

Joey asking Dawson to stay was a huge moment , and it proved that she had forced herself to stay away from him for so long but couldn't bear it anymore.

I love that when they go out to watch a movie in CODA, Jen is the one to point out to Joey that she knows she still wants Dawson. It showed that Jen wasn't selfish or angry anymore and only saw him as a friend. It was good to see Joey and Jen bond that way.

Jen's efforts to seduce Dawson in early S2 failed, because he was completely in love with Joey.

Drue was the instigator of drama, but he used honesty to do that.

Audrey was a free-spirit and a keen observer of the group's relationships. She was a good friend to Joey, especially in Season 5.

I just started re-watching DC. I'm finished episode 4 tonight and I always find it so hard to watch Dawson and Joey because I want to yell at Dawson for being so blind to Joey and her feelings. Thankfully he comes to his senses by the end of the season.

^ I know what you mean, but I think Dawson was being honest when he told her in Season 2 "it just took me a while to see what was already there."

They were all so young and still coming to terms with all the feelings that emerge during puberty and the lead-up to College.

He saw Jen walking down the Creek and she had a confidence and lure about her that was so unlike anything he was used to seeing where they grew up... So I don't think his feelings for Jen were completely real, it was fantasy and Joey was like the scary reality to him of what happens when you've actually grown up and you're ready to commit to somebody.
