If done right, it would have been one of, if not the absolute, best relationship on that show. :sigh:

I absolutely agree.

His eyes are kinda matching her sweater
Gah. That's a gorgeous cap of him. *swoon* :D
That was the moment where it all changed. Actually, it was before that, when she left him by the docks where I really saw the shift. He looked so broken hearted. :(
 I think that's when I realized that he really cares about her.

Perfect acting from the both of them :(
They break my heart in that scene because they both need the other to be a better friend than they have been in the past but all that hurt and anger comes to a head in that scene. Especially for Drue. I can see how badly he wants to help Jen but in the same token, revisiting that night is like rubbing salt on a wound for him so he acts like a jerk.
You're right, Jess. It was perfect acting. What they're feeling is written all over their faces. |
I think it's such a bad memory for both of them
Unfortunately, yes. And in vastly different ways. It was so bad for her because she couldn't remember it and it was so bad for him because he could. :( Just think, had their parents not been so dysfunctional, Drue and Jen could have had a healthy, happy friendship in NY and maybe it would have carried over when he came to Capeside.
They're both products of really bad and unealthy families
It was one of those things that brought them together but also threatened to tear them apart later on.

I love her face here
