Judy’s parents were vaudeville performers so it only made sense when they had 3 daughters to make a singing group of them. (The Gumm Sisters) Her mom was indeed a stage mother and Judy’s talent by 12 yrs got her an audition with the MGM studio and she was hired. It took about 3-4 years of her in various movies til they gave her Oz! And after that she was a bonifide movie star!
