Hmm that's a tough one to call.
I always think of that big scene in season 2 where Brandon screams in pain at his cousin Bobby for refusing to open up to him about the accident which left him paralyzed. Jason was incredible in that scene, showing how ashamed and scared Brandon truly felt knowing he somehow played a part in that.
Whereas I feel that Dylan and Brandon's very first episode together established a secrecy with Dylan. Brandon was very curious about Dylan's home life and Dylan basically put on this facade as a party guy, to cover up the fact of how miserable and alone he actually felt.
That moment at the end of the episode where he tries to call his dad but it goes through to voicemail really showcased him as an isolated figure.
