Great, so I can talk about it without spoiling you. I just watched it. Ava killed his Dad thinking it would mean she and Connor could be together again. And right when she was going to be caught, she cut her own throat right in front of Connor. They tried to save her but she didn't make it. Connor decided to leave because he needed a fresh start and he thought of this stuff with his Dad and Ava would just be too much to handle everyday there.
