That's true too... They brought in 3 new characters and only Torres stayed for the long-run. While I agree that only Torres fit the shows left after Dinozzo... I considered Reeves to be more of a recurring character, not really someone who should have been included in the intro in the first place.
And it also felt like that he only got a background story at the second half of the season, a few episodes before him dying...
