Lindsay, I am so sorry to hear about your Grandpa. The crazy thing is that my brother passed away the same morning. He had a heart attack the Saturday before and was in ICU on life support. He was taken off of it early Friday morning after everyone coming in from out of town and state made it here to say goodbye to him. He died shortly afterwards.

My grandparents on my mom's side died when my mom was young and my dad's dad left when he was just 4 so I never knew them but I did have his mom in my life until 3 months before my first child (my son) was born.
