I've been liking the sort-of friendship they've been forming since "The Show Must Go On'. The beginning of the ep, Ray's clearly annoyed when he invites himself to his friend's party. Then Morris ends up sick as a dog and they have that little chat about how people don't expect much of him [Morris] and he usually proves them right, and how he envies Ray for being able to sail right on through life. Ray says it's not easy for him, either, he's just good at faking it. Then later on, after they save all the patients and Morris shows up asking what he can do, Neela and Abby look pretty annoyed. Ray just tiredly tells him they've got it. And ever since, he's been a lot nicer to Morris than pretty much anyone else. He was the first one to tell him he did a good job in "I Do" with the hypothermia patient. Weaver didn't say it till the very end, and she had to be drunk to do it. Ray said it as soon as Weaver had walked out of the room and Morris was still in awe that his plan actually worked and that he'd stood up to Weaver and lived. I really think Morris and Ray could be great friends, maybe even roommates, since Neela's moved out and probably won't be moving back in anytime soon (and Ray's got rent to pay). I could see them as The Odd Couple of ER. (Like Felix and Oscar on the old TV Show.) Either way, I'm hoping that they keep giving them scenes together; Shane and Scott play off each other very well.
