I agree.
Sheldon and Amy could have won any fictional prize for their work, but not the Nobel Prize. Well, maybe they don't win in the end. We'll see.
Oh, what's also bothering me is this. TBBT used to be a show that took pride in its accuracy when it came to science. But with the Nobel Prize plot they abandoned this accuracy three times. First, Super Asymmetry is completely made-up; second, you usually don't track down references
after writing a paper; third, the procedure of getting the Nobel Prize as it is shown in the show has nothing to do with the real procedure.
I know it's a sitcom. But suspension of disbelief somehow doesn't work for me in this case.
