you are right. the episode was better than the last, but it wasn't a great one either.

not sure about the no choice thing. why didn't he shoot him somewhere else? tory wasn't about to kill junior, he wanted to kill himself. I think there was enough time for junior to aim at a different body part. ( I know it was in the script)

I wasn't thinking about greer. I thought about the ep where catherine got kidnapped and what steve did to get her back. maybe he identified his blindspot, but it still clouds his vision when it comes to the ones he cares about.
(Like a friend of mine once said (about drinking): "I know my limitations, I just don't pay attention to them.")

loved the comment too. wished we had some more mcdanno scenes though.
