No, he wasn't married when he adopted Danny in the last two episodes. That was an issue for the social worker cause they prefer that, but he was more than capable of taking care of him on his own. However, they still didn't approve, so he ran away with Danny and Howard Cunningham ended up going to talk to the orphange and defended Fonzie and told the guy "To hell with your policies." It's one of my favorite episodes, so I remember a lot about it lol.
