Yeah, hopefully Marvel can reassemble the crew and revive the Defenders when the two year clause expires; sounds like they know they have several amazing shows on their hands. As for Punisher, hopefully he's exempt from the clause and continues on somehow after Netflix lets go of him.
I can understand the logic of Netflix's decision to cancel them, but as a fan of the shows I can't help but be pissed off about losing things I love. Especially so prematurely and abruptly.
