Cain was a farmer while Able a shepherd.
Both brothers sacrificed some of their bounties to God but only Able's was accepted for a reason that is up for debate.

I'd been quite sure Lilith would be the figure showing up, Lucifer's ex-wife and Maze's mother.
In the Jewish genesis, Lilith is depicted as the first woman opposite Adam who abandoned him out of refusal to submit to him.
She then mated with Samael, 'the venom of God' known for being The Punisher and produced demonkind. Recall that Samael has been combined with Lucifer in this universe.
