The Prince/Princess that was promised is said to: a) wake dragons from stone, which Daenerys quite literally did as the dragon eggs where stone before the dragons where born, b) wield lightbringer to fight back the long night, which Melisandre and Jon's dream in the books seem to imply that he is. Rewatch Melisandre Season 6 and 7, you'll see that Jon and Daenerys are both the prince/princess that was promised.
