Even before it was confirmed I thought Ruth must have left when I saw the cake pic with Maura, Dom and Omar. Her final scenes must have been shot in Helen and Vic's house, hence the grand farewell.

That is correct, and also notice the Buddha Statue was on the cake! Still wondering why Josh wasn't there. I guess we said he wasn't filming that day but I'm sure he said farewell to her, maybe privately.
