I remember Josh did an improv stage piece a few years ago and those pics were posted but can't remember the full details.
Even before it was confirmed I thought Ruth must have left when I saw the cake pic with Maura, Dom and Omar. Her final scenes must have been shot in Helen and Vic's house, hence the grand farewell.
