You probably did hear that but nah.. Chronos story happened beforehand.
I do believe he did have a skin cancer scare.... or something from surfacing. That's what I remember.  And I think people assumed Dominic would miss episodes from season 1 because of that. We assumed it would take like 2-3 weeks to heal and he's miss like 3 episodes but he only ended up missing one.
But even Dominic himself said Mick as Chronos was the plan and Dominic said he asked the writers how did that make sense because in the Pilot Chronos was going to kill Mick, and than the writers tried to explain it and that was the time Dominic said he decided to give up asking questions on this time travelling thing. lol
