I agree with the majority here. In my eyes, Clarke did the right thing with Madi. Of course, children should be given as much as freedom of choice as possible, but this situation doesn't fall into that category IMO. This could potentially be a deadly situation, that's something non-negotiable. Clarke did what almost every parent would do if it came to their child's safety.

It's not something simple like trying to stay up past her bedtime ... this is a matter of life-or-death and something non-negotiable as you said. Madi is a smart girl but isn't aware of how brutal the world can be and how quickly people can change, when threatened.
