Dear Amy: Trucco hails from San Mateo, California. He is the son of a captain of detectives and a former Pan Am flight attendant.
Initially, Trucco wanted to follow in his father's footsteps, but while studying sociology at Santa Clara University, he was encouraged by his family to broaden his horizons and give theater a try.
After graduation, he spent two years doing commercials and industrial films before heading south to L.A., where work in local theater productions (and his good looks) ultimately landed him a recurring role on Beverly Hills, 90210.
He guested on Charmed, Silk Stalkings and Sunset Beach, among others, before landing his starring role as Tucker Henry III (aka Spoon). The popular syndicated show is entering its third season.
In his spare time, Trucco, who is single, enjoys playing guitar, fishing, hunting and car racing.
