it's interesting that gert is the most feminist one but basically forced karolina to come out. gert wasn't even well-meaning, she actually did it as a jab at karolina. i thought it was interesting to show how people who act so "woke" sometimes really aren't as enlightened and progressive as they think. gert still acted like a typical ignorant straight person.
(though ofc she grew and learned from it.
