Cashmere garments are hard to find, and even when you do one must be careful. Why? Because many cashmere garments are found to be rabbit and rat hair mixed with lambswool with a fraction of poor quality cashmere mixed in. Even when people do find 100% cashmere, the garments are often made from cashmere scraps and poorly made so they pill and stretch. Just a general comment made here.
BUTTONS
And of course the real deal luxury cashmere garments of yesteryear had beautiful quality buttons made from
mother of pearl or
horn, and certainly NOT plastic that nearly all of the cashmere garments costing thousands of dollars have these days. See....luxury garments don't use plastic buttons, but these days the definition of luxury is watered down. Luxury is not real luxury anymore.
The tan polo l posted above has
mother of pearl buttons where-as the navy polo l have has those ubiquitous
LIFELESS plastic buttons. See...this is the thing, made man materials like polyestor and plastic etc do look lifeless where-as natural materials have a depth and beauty to them.
I don't like plastic buttons!!!
