I kinda always felt Shaun and Lea were like first love thing, in a way where Shaun gets to experience firsts... first kiss i guess, first roadtrip, first drinks etc.
But i find Shaun and Claire have more of a understanding, in the way she talks to him and communicates and he is comfortable with her
