The casting call should have been for an underaged teen. This seems a bit irresponsible to me. Often shows don't cast underage actors at all due to labor laws, parents on set, etc. they also should pay attention to age difference during the casting process. I guess her parents didn't mind but it just doesn't sit well with me.
