I wish I could be as enthusiastic about this movie as everybody else is. Who knows, maybe I'll like it. I ended up having mixed feeling about the Spider Man movie, which I expected to hate. As I expected, it was juvenile and Tom Holland came off like a little kid, but it was fun and Michael Keaton was good, as were Laura Harrier and Zendaya. Even Tony Stark was good, despite being overused. I've been having mixed feelings about the MCU movies in general recently. They're fun and often have good performances and lively characterization, but they're also a bit juvenile and too safe. Thor Ragnarok, which I expected to enjoy, left me with mixed feelings. I enjoyed it, but but it pissed me off that the film seemed to be made with the attitude that the Thor material couldn't be taken seriously. So while I appreciated the humour to an extent, it pissed me off how they made a joke out of everything.
