It is for sure. And now there is a huge backlash from fans. Bc there is like 9 eps left in this last season and since 3-4 eps the storyline is exaclty the same in each eppy. There is a band recording songs in a studio (the only ones still doing music) who afterwards go drink beer and talk about random stuff and they do this every eppy. Another woman (ex singer) is now a horse therapist talking with horses every eppy. Another guy (ex singer) is constantly only either hanging with his new love dsicussing some boring family stuff or they show him running errands including buying condoms...smh. The daughter of this singer who used to sing as well is now just portrayed every eppy behaving like a bratty teen hanging with her new popsinger boyfriend also always discussing completely unimportant stuff about how they handle social media etc.
As for the two female leads one played by connie britton and one by hayden: The character played by connie got killed of in a car accident after having been in a car accident before. They simply copy/pasted the previous story but let her die in the end. And hayden's character, yes she suffered from depression as hayden in real life, then got healed with therapy was in love again then and took care of her kid and now suddenly she has depression again finds out she was abused as child, but instead of getting help she joins a cult leaves her kid and husband and tells them she is not interested in them anymore and of course she also gave up singing. They reduced 7-8 music related storylines that all had complex connectionsto each other, to one that is just dull and uninspired, bc there is no porgress at all. That is all such lousy writing, that it is indeed refusal to work.

I genuinly hope the new showrunners on fear are not doing something similar.
