Yeah, he has gotten a lot more perceptive this season, even from episode one when he recognized that her reactions to his criticism may be exaggerated because of their new status (although he also failed to realize he was doing the same thing).
I liked the talk too, it was really necessary from Paige'e end and I loved them reaffirming how they trust each other.
