I did well for FOX. XFiles had a lot of coverage and anticipation and a fandom which The Resident didn't have. Also "The Resident" didn't have big names (sorry Matt, I love you) to attract viewers. It's a medical drama which got really little coverage from media and it performs well. And those are also only preliminary numbers.

Yeah, I believe the numbers they got are pretty good, all things considered. Let's see how well they do on their main night (so tonights episode). If the remaining episodes stay above the 2.0 rating the show will get renewed, I'm sure.
