If he tells me something and I question his claim and then I prove that he is wrong and I am right he has no issues with it. If I tell him that he needs to work on something there is a big chance that he would agree with me.

Got it. So he doesn’t have that annoying, grating ego where he always thinks he’s right. That type of person bothers me.

That’s a logical, reasonable psychological statement HR should have immediately understood. Either she’s stupid/doesn’t understand even basic psychology or playing dumb because she refuses to call out the jerk.
