Well, the actors who got nominated for Best Motion Picture Drama were Daniel Day Lewis, Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington, Timothee Chalamet, and Gary Oldman. That was his competition for Logan and I don’t think he stood a chance based on the politics. He got a nod for The Greatest Showman because it’s easier to get since the nod is for best actor in a comedy or musical and there aren’t as many of those each year.
