They have a few options. If they don't want a full season they could do 10 or 13 episodes, which would put them at 309-312 episodes. They could also do 20 if they want a longer season but not quite a regular length season. Or they could tack on another episode to season 13 to get 300 or they could do what CSI did and do a 2 hour movie type thing. Of course, they could also just renew it for another full 22-24 episode season.
