It was true escapism... And it might work today. With the world so fractured, and divided. But the reason the show worked was Tom Selleck. And I can't see how you find another star with his charisma.
And I am not sure how it's going to work. Is it a true reboot of the original, or is it different even know it has similar characters.
I liked the idea of last year's attempt better. Magnum's daughter taking over the business...
I am not sure how this one will fly because what made it special was Tom Selleck!
