When I was young, I used to have to wait a day until I could watch the season three episodes of Roswell, because it moved to a network I didn't get, and my mom's coworker recorded them for me. So I would go to school and just all day be thinking about the episode, and I even called my mom (from the school payphone) to check in and see if it had gotten recorded. The wait was always agonizing! It was all I could think about.
I believe this is what happens when you're deeply entrenched in a fandom.
